Swallowed Brilliance

A man's brilliance being eaten up by ducks,
October
It's chilly out
He argues with the geese,
pulls out a gun.
Shots are fired
Bullets 'ricochet' off the air
They hit the water.
A girl,
lying on the grass
Screams
Blood rushing down the pavement,
'Ricochet'ed bullet
in her chest
